After years and years of dreading piano lessons, practice, and all things piano, I have to think my parents were relieved when they finally let me quit.

Contrast that to when I stepped into a dance studio for the first time. I could barely touch my toes, but the difference was—I loved it. Even more amazing was how quickly I improved when I kept going back. I became captain of my high school’s state championship-winning dance team. I was dancing at least 4-5 hours a day. I never asked my mom to skip a single day.

My experience of piano vs. dance taught me a life-changing truth.

There’s no substitute for knowing yourself and investing where your natural genius is found.

……

I have no dance team these days, but I still dance my heart out when I resource and develop the leaders of tomorrow.

I have over 20 years of experience as a director and manager. I love to provide coaching and design training experiences.

I hold degrees from UCLA in Anthropology and Business and an M.A. in Leadership. Some of my favorite topics are lifelong learning, leadership development, and organizational dynamics. I believe in the power of individuals doing what they were made to do and the impact that has on our world to bring about more goodness, equity, and care for the collective.

I became a certified coach and consultant because I wanted to be the best I could be at helping people amplify their authentic leadership genius.

I am certified in 4 different frameworks—Gallup StrengthsFinder, Cultural Intelligence, the Enneagram, and Working Genius. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation. I am also on the coaching faculty of Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP). I have loved working with organizations of all sizes, such as Firm Foundation, AltaMed, NOMI Network, Alabaster, the Murdock Foundation, the Miami Heat, Coca-Cola, and Amazon. Getting to do what I do with such amazing people and teams feels like my Christmas morning.

At home, I am lucky to have a husband who makes me laugh daily and is a talented graphic designer & creative director, and we parent our two boys together. After my son waged an impressive campaign for a dog, we rescued our pup Kona, who is equal parts sweet and neurotic. I love her because she is always happy to see me, and I need that kind of positive energy in my life.

When I’m not coaching and training the awe-inspiring leaders that the world desperately needs, I love keeping my streak on Duolingo (toggling between Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, French, and Italian, depending on my mood), reading, hiking, enjoying all the good food LA has to offer, and connecting with folks on Instagram. I run on black coffee, the thrill of crossing things off my to-do list, and my insatiable love of learning.

But MOST OF ALL — I’d love to hear from you!
